Murtagh Music acts as a data controller by processing personal data.  It is unlikely that this will include personal sensitive data as categories of personal data collected, retained and processed by Murtagh Music is limited to contact details such as contact name, address, email address and telephone number.  Such personal data is collected by Murtagh Music when it is entered and submitted via the contact form on www.murtaghmusic.com.  Personal data may also be collected via telephone and email correspondence between Murtagh Music and clientele.  Bank details are not a category of data that Murtagh Music collect, retain or process.  Murtagh Music do not source personal data externally.

Processing

Murtagh Music process personal data only with legitimate interest and for providing services.  Murtagh Music may be required to contact clients in support of providing these services such as to schedule lessons.  Murtagh Music will never contact clients to send marketing information.

Murtagh Music may be required to process data for the purpose of investigating, detecting and reporting crime and also to comply with any laws that apply; this may include demonstrating compliance with industry standards.  Murtagh Music must have a legal basis to process your personal data.

Murtagh Music do not share personal data with third parties.

Retention

Murtagh Music retain person data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose it has been collected.  Murtagh Music store personal data electronically with security measures in place to protect the data and strictly limit access to persons of authority.  Murtagh Music also have a Firewall (security software) in place to protect our internal information from the internet.

Murtagh Music enjoy communicating with customers via the Murtagh Music Facebook page.  Murtagh Music do not store any personal information from these interactions outside of that platform unless Murtagh Music receive a booking this way; the information is then covered as outlined above.

When someone visits www.murtaghmusic.com we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns.  We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site.  This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone.  Murtagh Music does not make, and does not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
